Simon Wheatcroft is a blind tech pioneer, endurance runner, and educator.
Simon refuses to let blindness hold him back. Whether competing in ultra-marathons, climbing mountains, or teaching in the classroom, he combines technology with a deep belief in human potential to overcome barriers and redefine what's possible. His unique blend of drive, technology expertise, and psychology inspires audiences to push their own limits.
Drawing on his collaborations with IBM, MIT, and Google, Simon develops inclusive technologies that empower people with disabilities, from robotic control systems for motor neurone disease to AI-driven switching and data sonification tools. He also founded Hackcessible, a user-led accessible hackathon, and was recognised with the Pearson National Teaching Gold Award for Outstanding New Teacher.
