Andy Roe’s New Appointment

Andy Roe, new chair of the Building Safety Regulator and former London Fire Brigade commissioner, is set to accelerate the clearing of case backlogs before the year ends.

He told MPs of plans to recruit 15 new building inspectors, create a centralised unit to speed up approvals, and restore confidence in the regulatory system.
